Warsaw, Wilanów Palace

We invite for an extraordinary journey to two epochs - the end of XVII century, when Poland was a European power, with an area of almost 1 million km2 and the end of the eighteenth century, when the partitions of and loss of independence took place. The first is the reign of John III Sobieski, the second are the times of the last Polish king Stanislaw August Poniatowski. Both were outstanding sponsors of art and today we can admire their residences. During the 4-hour trip we will see Wilanów – a gem of the Polish baroque and charming Łazienki park, where we can admire the architecture of Neoclassism.

Warsaw, a sculpture in the Wilanów ParkThe Wilanów Palace, which dates back to the seventeenth century, was rebuilt several times. During the tour of its interiors, not only will we learn the stories from the life of King Jan III Sobieski and his wife Marysieńka, but also the history of the residence and its subsequent owners from the finest Polish aristocratic families - Sieniawski, Czartoryski, Lubomirski, Potocki and Branicki. See among other things a unique collection of coffin portraits, a painting gallery from the seventeenth century magnate portraits to the works of art of the nineteenth century painters, valuable collections of furniture, glass and fabrics. We will learn the secrets of the Palace’s façade and be enchanted by the garden full of flowers. It’s time to relax in the Gold King café!

Warsaw, the Amphitheatre in the Łazienki ParkŁazienki is a popular place to stroll for Warsaw inhabitants. In the company of squirrels and royal peacocks we will move around the park - the summer residence of the last king. See inter alia Frederic Chopin's monument and Amphitheater with the scene on the water. We will visit Palace on the Water. Stanislaw August Poniatowski was fascinated by antiquity.
